SCHON Warranty: Profile, Finish and Hardware, Covered Separately
Every SCHON aluminium door and window system carries three separate warranties — 25 years on the profile, 20 years on the finish and 5 years on the hardware.
Aluminium Profile
Covers manufacturing defects in the aluminium profile. SCHON profiles are designed and extruded in Germany from 6063 T5/T6-grade alloy.
Surface Finish
Covers discoloration of the powder-coat or surface finish.
Hardware
Covers the operation of hardware, including rollers, hinges and locks.
Why the warranty is split three ways
A window is an assembly: the aluminium profile, its finish and its operating hardware age at different rates. Tracking each warranty separately means each term reflects the component it covers, rather than one vague warranty line for the whole product.
